Producer.co

Privacy Policy

Effective June 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Producer.co ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Service. By using Producer.co you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Email address, password (stored as a hash), your name, farm or garden name, and your town or zip code.
  • Listing content. Product names, descriptions, prices, units, quantities, harvest notes, photos, tags, and pickup details that you post.
  • Payout handles. Venmo, PayPal, or other payment handles you choose to display so Buyers can pay you directly. These are visible to Users who transact with you.
  • Transaction activity. Reservations, trade offers, ratings, and messages exchanged through the Service.
  • Usage data. IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and pages viewed.
  • Cookies and local storage. We use browser storage to keep you signed in (an authentication token stored under "producer.auth") and to remember preferences such as recently viewed Listings.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Display your Listings, ratings, and farm profile to other Users
  • Facilitate reservations, trades, and direct communication between Users
  • Send transactional emails and important account notices
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unsafe conduct
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

3. How Information Is Shared

With other Users. Your farm name, town, listings, payout handles, ratings, and messages are shared with the Users you interact with so the marketplace can function.

With service providers. We use Supabase to host the Service, manage authentication, and store data. Supabase processes information on our behalf subject to its own privacy commitments.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, or property of Producer.co, our Users, or the public.

Business transfers. If Producer.co is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).

5. Your Rights

You may access and update most of your information directly in the app. To request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your account, or export of your data, email hello@producer.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

6. California and State Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others) may have similar rights. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@producer.co.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit (TLS) and at rest, and we apply Row Level Security policies on our database so each User can only access their own data and the public-facing portions of other Users' profiles. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Account Suspension and Your Data

If your account is suspended, your Listings and content may be hidden from other Users but your data generally remains on file while the suspension is in effect. If your account is closed (by you or by us), we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, subject to the retention exceptions described above.

9. Communications

We may send you transactional emails about your account, reservations, and trades. You cannot opt out of essential service messages while your account is active. We do not currently send marketing emails; if that changes, you will be able to unsubscribe.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for interpreting these signals, we do not currently respond to them. We do not use cross-site tracking for advertising.

11. Children

Producer.co is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the Service is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact hello@producer.co and we will delete it.

12. International Users

Producer.co is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.

14. Contact

Questions or requests can be sent to hello@producer.co.
